Membrane is a tile underlayment and uncoupling membrane.

The polypropylene design features square columns that securely lock heating cables in place without cutting or modification. A non-woven backing bonds tightly with thinset mortar, while the membrane structure allows trapped moisture to escape during curing. It can be installed over concrete, plywood, OSB, gypsum underlayment, and cement backer board.
